Support the Press

Texas Tech University Press advances knowledge through the publication of rigorous, innovative, and creative works. These publications, often crafted for specialized readerships or regional audiences, are crucial to advancing learned discourse. University presses such as ours serve the public good by generating and disseminating important, peer-reviewed, mission-focused works.

These publications, while vital and in the public interest, are often not able to recover their costs of production in a competitive marketplace. This is particularly true of specific types of publications, such as path-breaking works of literary art or first-person narratives voiced from diverse perspectives. TTU Press is nonetheless committed to making all vital works available to the reading public, and therefore supplements earned revenues with generous support and other funding opportunities. This support is of paramount importance to TTU Press’s publishing program.

There are many ways to help support our publishing mission. Donations or endowments can be applied to a specific series or prize, such as our flagship Grover E. Murray Studies in the American Southwest series or the Lou Halsell Rodenberger Prize in History, Literature, and Culture. Contributions in support of TTU Press’s general mission and operations can also be made.
