Jonathan
L. Friedmann is
Professor of Jewish Music History and Academic Dean of the Master of Jewish
Studies Program and Rabbinical School at the Academy for Jewish Religion California, President of the
Western States Jewish History Association, Director of the Jewish Museum of the
American West, and the author or editor of thirty books on Judaism, music,
and religion. He lives in Claremont, California.
After almost thirty years as a labor lawyer, John F. Guest returned to his first love, music, and was ordained a cantor. He now works as a substitute cantor and tutors b'nei mitzvah students in the Los Angeles area, and he serves as Vice President of the Western States Jewish History Association.
